How can I improve my appearance?

http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww316/Zombierellaa/NOOOOPHOTPOSHOP.jpg?t=1264210461

My photo,

my plans for until the end of this summer are to

-Grow my hair out

-lighten it to a dirty blonde color (lemon juice %26amp; sun-in, then professional highlights)

-perfect teeth (getting implants in two months %26amp; they'll be straight before summer ends)

-get a tan (im going to greece throughout the whole summer and i tan VERY easily)

-workout and lose weight (i'm 5'4 and 126 pounds...just average i guess, but i wanna get toned)

oh and i'm 15 years old.

any more ideas that you guys could help me?

I've have never really put an effort into how i looked, so thats why im coming up with this now and i am so excited!! (:How can I improve my appearance?
Go get a tan, and your fine. Your a good looking young lady so if all you need to do is tan your in good shape, and tone that butt, they guys love it

How can i get my natural ash blonde back from brown!? ):?

I have ehh medium brown hair and blonde underneath but my natural is like a ash blonde i haven't seen my natural color since the 6th grade(im going into 8th now)

my dad wont take me in for a professional dye cause he doesn't have the money%26amp; ';i dye my hair too much, so it wont be worth it';

i want my natural color back like BADLY and for about a week i've been soaking my hair

in mayo, conditioner, olive oil, and i've slightly tried to lighten it with lemon juice.

preparing it for how im going to dye it. i want my hair like this:

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=154alhd%26amp;s=3

ASAP, cause its very close to my natural just slightly lighter

thats what i wanted the second i had to dye my hair brown. how am i going to

do this? and yes i know it will damage my hair A LOT but after i get this im positive i wont do anything until my hair is healthier and at least til it's grown out. advice please??!How can i get my natural ash blonde back from brown!? ):?
if you want your hair back to its natural color...You have to let the brown grow out...there's no other way unless you dye it as close as possible to your natural color. How can i get my natural ash blonde back from brown!? ):?
get a home highlighting kit and get a friend to do it for u
You can buy ';Do it yourself'; from the supermarket they will probs have that colour and its cheap to buy.

Hope that helps :)
i dont think there is any way in the world u can get your hair like that apart from a very expensive salon!

perhaps u could do jobs around the house for your dad to pay 4 it then hell see how bad u want it!
I would save your lunch money

until you get about $75 (dep. on where you live)

and get prof highlights done at a salon...

tell them you want a natural look that will grow out and won't look bad until the next highlight..

you will be happy you did this.. be careful with the home highlight kits..

after a few visits to the salon and you see how they do it.

then you and your friends can expeiriment and try it at home

and if you ever darken it in the future, use the 28 day temp colors.. (they don't damage the hair as much.)

they wash out after a few weeks...

and the dark color sticks to the highlighted strands longer, but washes completely out of the ';virgin'; hair over time

Sexy Summer Hair Question! 10 POINTS!!!?

Hey. I have light brown hair with some natural blonde highlights but I want it to get lighter for the summer. I really want to do it naturally so bleaching it is out of the question. I just want to know what I can put in it to get it lighter. I heard lemon juice, honey, tea, and vinegar all make your hair lighter and I just want to know if they really do work and which works best. I also heard that the chlorine in pools lightens it too, is this right?? Please give me advice on what to do and what you used to make it lighter.

Here is a link to the hair color I hope to have but how can I obtain it?:

http://www.nickkcapress.com/2007KCA/img/鈥?/a>

Thanks for the help and I'll pick the best answer.Sexy Summer Hair Question! 10 POINTS!!!?
for all over lighter hair, soak your hair in lemon juice and spend a lot of time outside. For streaks, well, rub it on your hair, and spend a lot of time outside. The acid and the heat lightens you hair color. Or just buy some sunin. But if you want it to get noticeably lighter, do it a few times, but try to give your hair a rest every other day. you dont want to damage it.Sexy Summer Hair Question! 10 POINTS!!!?
um im not sure but i think u will look great and i think u should just go to a cheapish salon so its not tooo expensive
if your going to do a lemon juice rinse don't leave it in for long.

i've heard lemon juice works very well though.
Chlorine will damage your hair. If you really want to get that color, the best way is to dye it. The other ';natural'; ways won't work and certainly not quickly.

Try sun in if you really want to use just the sun.
If you want hair like that it looks like she has highlights and low lights but as far as the lemon juice goes I tried something called sun in but i heard its not good for your hair. Also they turn my hair more of an orange color but i have dark brown hair.
OMG! Thats the same hairstyle I'm getting. I am dying it with the most recomended hair dye out there. I have heard it's lorel paris, and I am dying it goldish-light blonde, and I am extending it with permanate extensions, so I hope it comes out good for me! But, I would recomend Lemon juice, than sitting in the sun, or as I do, I have the same haircolor as you, and I went in the pool yesterday and I brushed it after and it turned beach blonde. :)

I hope this helped! alexis :D
why don't you go to the hairdressers and get some non-permant highlights?
try sun-in.

i use it, but make sure you read the bottle carefullly and research it acording to your hair because it can mess up people's hair.

Home-made highlights?

Naturally my hair is dark blonde. When I was younger my mom highlighted my hair with a hydrogen peroxide mixture, but I dont remember what was in it. It might have just been mixed with water to dilute it Im not sure. ANYWAYS, my hair is dyed a medium brown right now, and im wondering if anyone knows how to do at home highlights? Yes I know that peroxide is bad for your hair. My mom is also a cosmetologist. I dont wanna do my whole head. just a few strands here and there. Any tips? And PLEASE dont say beer, lemon juice, lightening shampoo, or sun-in. Because they dont work for me, and all sun-in is is just peroxide in a spray bottle that says Sun-in. Thanks in advance! JerrHome-made highlights?
perioxide and kool-aidHome-made highlights?
i dont know the home remidi ask your mom and tell her to give you one of her caps to do it let your mom do it if she is a cosmetologist.
Umm i think it would be cheaper to just buy your own highlight dye

$6.99 cant get cheaper than that

xD
put lemon juice in your hair
Plain hydrogen peroxide won't work. You have to get some powdered hair bleach and mix it with hydrogen peroxide devopler...usually 40%.
Lemon juice could work.

Home done highlights?

How can I lighten my hair quickly. I have medium brown hair and I've already done lemon juice in the sun, chamomile tea, vinegar, vodka and a couple of other 'natural' remedies but none work without so much effort and little results. My sister has Hydrogen Peroxide in volume 20 (6%) and 5 (1.5%). Can I mix a small amount of this and put it in my shampoo or in a spray bottle with something else to lighten my hair?Home done highlights?
here is how to highlight with Hydrogen Peroxide

Things You鈥檒l Need:

* One bottle of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide.

Rubber gloves for application or a spray bottle.

Styrophoam or plastic cup for water and peroxide mixture if not using a spray bottle.

* One large, old towel

1- Wash hair and pat dry.

2- Put ten capfuls each of peroxide and water in cup and mix.

3- With rubber gloves work mixture through hair. Set timer for 40-50 minutes depending on how light you want to go at first. Dry hair with a dryer after timer goes off.

4- if you don't have oily hair I would suggest a good conditioner for dry hair.

Home done highlights?
go to sallys beauty supply, cheap %26amp; u just mix a powder with a liquid %26amp; its done!
go to the sallys beauty supply just like the person above me said
a bleach bath will lighten it, mix peroxide 20 vol or40 vol and water, use 4 parts water:1 part bleach. just use it like a shampoo. you ay need to buy a conditioning treatment after thought cos peroxide does damage your hair a lil.

Why can't I get the sugaring method right, and how do I lighten darkened skin on upper lip/underarms?

I use the two cups of sugar, couple drops of lemon juice and 1/4 cup water but it is so thick to apply. The only way it is easier to spread is if i pretty much liquify it in the microwave and I only want to remove my hair...not the skin as well. It's used mainly for my bikini area but I don't know what I'm doing wrong that it is so hard to spread. This is my second time using this batch. Also I can't seem to wax my upper lip at all. My hair is coarse and very dark so it is really noticeable and it never seems to grow to the required length for waxing. One last question, how can I lighten the dark skin on my upper lip? It's a little dark after hair has be removed and the same with my under arms. Why can't I get the sugaring method right, and how do I lighten darkened skin on upper lip/underarms?
Apply some talcum powder over your clean and dry skin. This makes the procedure easier.

Here's a link for sugaring that might have some tips for you:

Help! i need an answer quick! best answer 10 pts.?

Ok so i have straberry blonde hair with blonde highlights in it. my hair isn't exactly orange but it's definitely not a ';red';. i wanna put lemon juice in it to lighten it and give myself mor highlights. the only thing is im scred my hair will turn bright orange or something. will this happen??? and if you've used lemon juice on your hair before tell me how it worked for you.thanks!Help! i need an answer quick! best answer 10 pts.?
Im pretty sure it wont turn bright orange. It will get a little lighter but not too much unless you put way to much in. Dont worry about it im sure you will look great if u do do it.Help! i need an answer quick! best answer 10 pts.?
i do not think it will turn bright orange but maybe you should get some real highlight stuff at walgreens i have blond hair and use lemons all the time but i dont no how it will efect your hair
I have never personaly put lemon juice in my hair to lighten it, since i have naturally very dark hair. But i know that if your hair is already light to light medium then it should definetly work. But you need to lay out in the sun afer you put the lemon juice on. My aunts use to do this.
its extremely subtle, dont worry it wont ruin your hair
I've used lemon juice before and it just brought out the natural highlights in my hair. I hair a light brown hair with some natural red, black and blonde strands in my hair. Just sit out in the sun with lemon juice in your hair for awhile with something to do.

http://www.wikihow.com/Dye-Your-Hair-With-Lemon-Juice
maybe just try a really little bit of your hair underneath at the back of your head to test the lemon juice. that way if it turns orange it won't be visible.
first of all lemon juice will pinch you very much. Apart from that it has a major drawback that it tends you hair to fall as it lessens the strength of your hairs. The WORST part of it is that it makes your hairs go white.......i am facing this bloody problem. i used it for dandruff, it helped but at the age of 20 my hairs have gone so white that you can clearly notice them and i myself fells that i am 40. DONT USE IT...........PLEASE
it definetly won't turn bright orange it will probably blonden it up a little lol

i haven't done before but my mom has and it worked fo rher but it didn't work for my sister so i guess everyone's different
don't do it .. it could end very badly.

please answer mine: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>

  • Now that I've coloured my hair with henna, what can I do with it?

This is my current hair: http://www.missfemale.com/m/index.php?a=2%26amp;b=593

What can I do to make it look better, taking into mind that I treated it with henna? I really want to lighten it in time for my 19th Birthday, which will be in April. Can I do that with lemon juice and sun? Or how do you think darker hair would look on me? All-in-all, any feedback, comments, advice or suggestions will be highly appreciated!

Note: the photo where I have red hair is old, don't mind it.Now that I've coloured my hair with henna, what can I do with it?
    Do some blonde highlights.

    Dark hair looks really good,

    but maybe blonde highlights

for a lighter tone and more dimension? :)

Good luck. :)Now that I've coloured my hair with henna, what can I do with it?
Wow I thought the red hair looked gorgeous! Be very careful when lightening hennaed hair, it contains a lot of red/orange and does not come out! I used to use henna on my hair (it is perfectly fine as long as you don't use 'metallic' henna, and you CAN colour over it). When I hennaed my hair it was only really possible to darken it. Henna works in a different way to other colourants, the henna pigments are larger and do not come out again, once hennaed you are pretty much stuck with it! However you can lighten it, it will not go blonde, and if you lighten it too much it will look orange, but you can use some mild hydrogen peroxide, such as Sun In, to gradually lighten it. This is a better bet as you can control the lightening. Lemon juice won't make much difference to your hair. Please do bear in mind that any lightening will only affect the brown elements, but not the red base. Do it gradually so you don't end up with 'too bright' a colour. Your hair is a gorgeous colour now, if you lighten it a small amount it will highlight the red in the henna, and it will appear brighter. Good luck, your hair is very pretty now in my opinion :)
I have used henna for a while now so i know quite a bit about it. The main thing to remember with henna is that you cannot/ should not use other types of dye over it. I did once trying to experiment and I was lucky that it did not change colors or textures of my hair like other people experienced (it is common when mixing chemicals and henna for hair to turn green in color and straw like) Basically, you need to use ';natural'; ingredients to make the changes of color that you want. The website that I included in the sources has a lot of information about changing the color of your hair if you have henna. I have personally tried a lot of these and they are very helpful. The teas seemed to have the biggest effect on my hair color so you may want to try that.

*I should have mentioned that I was referencing henna that has a bit of dye in it. You can get these from health or natural food stores or places like Sally's. This is the metallic kind that the above poster said so you have to be careful with coloring over. Pure henna is more difficult to find but is wonderful to work with and in my opinion has no real drawbacks.
If you鈥檝e used a henna dye to your hair, try a combination of alcohol and mineral oil to lighten the henna. First, apply a mixture of 70% alcohol to strands of hair. After about 10 minutes, apply the mineral oil on top of the alcohol. Cover with a plastic shower cap and sit under a hair dryer for 45 minutes. Apply a shampoo directly to your hair before applying water to remove the mineral oil. Next, lather and rinse hair. Repeat until all the oil and henna is removed from your hair.

What colour hair would i look good with?

Okk. . soo, im mixed (with black and white) and i wanted to make my hair lighter (but my mom wont et me use dye) I was wondering what color hair i would look good in ? myhair gets a little lighter in the summer anyway. But not alot. i like the honey type color. And how could i lighten it? Like i heard about sun in, and lemon juice..

    Heres some pics of mee.

http://s877.photobucket.com/albums/ab336/AllyMixedChiqk/Ally%20Babez/What colour hair would i look good with?
go 4 a lighter golden-brown, btw ur pretty :]What colour hair would i look good with?
your hair color is rlly pretty, you would look strange as a light blond. maybe u could try highlights though. whatever u do, DONT use sun-in. if your hair is dark, it turns it bright orange. good luck!
I think you would actually look better if it was much darker, but that's just my opinion. Go with what you think is best
You look fine as you are ;)

Want To Give Myself a Make Over...just some quick questions?

okay. i want to give myself like a total makeover this summer. but i had some quick questions about some stuff:

*my hair is medium brown with natural/barely noticable red highlights. how can i lighten my hair/make the red stand out more? someone told me to put lemon juice in my hair and go out in the sun...ummmmm, explanation??

*how can i get my hair to be silky/shiny?

*i have a really bad problem with biting my nails. i really want to let them grow out...how?? also, what is a good brand of nail polish?

*what are some brands of make up that dont test on animals?

*i'm going to be a sophmore in high school in the fall. what kinds of make up and how much should i be wearing?

*any other stuff?? thanks!Want To Give Myself a Make Over...just some quick questions?
alright, first of all DON'T put lemon juice in your hair if you want it to be silky/shiny. lemon juice dries out hair really fast and can lead to damaged hair. if you really want to lighten you're hair, it's worth the money to get it done by a professional, trust me on this! As for silky/shiny hair, try not to use a blow dryer every time you have wet hair, and there are defiantly certain foods that make your hair shinier such as salmon, veggies, almonds, etc.

As for biting your nails, I've had that problem for years. there is a certain nail polish that you can put on that is actually designed for this because i guess it has a bitter taste or something to it. but regular nail polish might help you a little bit. OPI is a great brand for nail polish, lots of fun colors and good quality.

Now makeup...don't overdo it. That's the main thing. you should be fine with mascara and maybe a little eyeliner and personally i swear by bronzer (especially Hoola from Benefit) it gives you a nice bronze looking glow.

And just remember to eat healthy and stay active and you'll be feeling GREAT!Want To Give Myself a Make Over...just some quick questions?
Well...not sure about a lot of that stuff...but here:

1: Yes, lemon juice in the sun does do a lot. Think of Sun-In! You should be in the sun at least 2 hours.

2: Milani is a BRILLIANT brand of nail polish. I have a few of that brand and they all couldn't get better!

    How to darken hair naturally?

so im a caucasian brunette girl. my hair is definitely on the lighter side of brown. it lightens up a lot in the summer, and some adults will evn go so far as to call me a ';dark blonde';.

i would like my hair color to be darker [im so jealous of my friend who has this thick, curly dark chocolate brown hair]. but i do NOT wanna dye my hair.

now iv heard [and even tried this past summer] that u can ';naturally'; highlight ur hair by spritzing with lemon juice and going in the sun.

is their any nifty little remedy for darkening hair?

any advice is welcomeHow to darken hair naturally?
Yes, using lemon juice can lighten your hair. But I'm not sure if there's a trick for darkening it. But I have heard if you take pure black coffee, and spritz it on your hair it could bring out the brown color in your hair. And MAYBE darken it. Afterward's, rinse out the residue of the coffee, and repeat. I'm not positive about this though. But I'm gonna try it out myself.

Hope I helped! How to darken hair naturally?
No hun, that damages your hair, and makes it LIGHTER, not darker

Try this (i read it nline)

Brew strong dark black coffee or strong black tea.

Allow the mixture to completely cool before using.

Wash hair as you normally would and rinse. Turn off the water in the shower.

Poor the coffee or tea onto your light hair in the shower with a bowl underneath your head to catch the mixture.

Re-rinse with the coffee or tea until you achieve your desired color.

    Wash and condition your hair.

Repeat this process once a month to maintain a natural-looking dark color.
Black walnut shells, dark coffee, dark teas work on some hair types. But try lessening how much sun your hair gets. Sun bleaches hair like no other and I am not saying become a homebody :3 Shield your hair using a hat.

    Blue Hair. Ugh.?

Where I live, we got a week off school last week Friday. I figured it a good time to use one of the semi-permanent hair dyes I had bought. I have used the hair dyes before, and usually the colour is gone within 2 washes, sometimes even 1. But anyway, I've been washing my hair like 100 times a day since, and it still hasn't come out! I have to go back to school tomorrow...

I've tried a lot of things so far and lightened the hair significantly, but is there anything, anything at all else I can do to remove it instantly?

This is what I've tried so far:

    - Lemon Juice.

    - Ketchup.

    - Vinegar.

    - Dish Soap.

    - Chlorine Water.

    - Washed it with shampoo LOADS.

    - Peroxide 30 mixed with shampoo (It helped a lot, but I think I've used enough of it now.)

Is there anything I'll most likely be able to find in the house that will be able to get rid of the hair dye, but keep my natural colour? Should I use the peroxide more? And if so, how long should I leave it in for?Blue Hair. Ugh.?
Head and Shoulders shampoo is supposed to strip a colour out of your hair, maybe try shampooing it several times with this? If not i suggest you pay a visit to a professional salon.Blue Hair. Ugh.?
go 2 a proffesional salon im sure they can get it out :)
Just go to your nearest drugstore and ask for some colour stripper, that'll do the trick!
I would go get some hair color remover from CVS or somewhere like that, it won't get it exactly the same but it will help.
I think your best bet is to go to a salon before you permanetly damage or change the hair color

    Lightening my hairrrrrr?

So I heard that washing your hair with vinegar mixed in your shampoo works to lighten your hair naturally. I knew that lemon juice in the sun works, but here's my bigger question.

I have brown hair with tons of red in it naturally, and I just got my hair done recently. They dyed it to take out the orange-y/red tint, but it's not at all how I wanted it. I said light brown and they gave me dark brown. I used to have my hair like Jessica Alba in Into the Blue, so I know my hair can be done light w/out red in it. But my question is, if I lighten my hair on my own with lemon juice/vinegar whatever, will it just lighten the way I want it or will the red come back?

Also, does anyone know any other ways to naturally lighten my hair besides what I already mentioned? Thanks.Lightening my hairrrrrr?
2 parts lemon, 1 part vodka, according to my sister's hairdresser, she has dark brown hair too..Lightening my hairrrrrr?
I had the same problem because I have some natural red in my hair too. All I can suggest is to go get it colored (wouldn't really recommend doing it at home). If your hair has a lot of red undertones, just lightening it won't help and may make it stick out more (thus making it look brassy). What I did was just pay $60 at a salon to get wide highlights on the top of my head that complimented my skin tone, and it got rid of the red.

My hair/eye combo is too dark?

okayy, i feel like i dont know how to do my makeup for my loook. im 15, and i have brown eyes %26amp; my brown hair seems to have gootten really darkk, which i hahate.

in summer, i plan to lighten it with either lemon juice or sunlite(from the drugstore) or whatever. are these good ideas? are there better ways to lighten(besides getting highlights)? let me knoow(=

okayy %26amp; i hate my eyelcolor but i know i cant change that, so what are good eyemakeup ideas for brown eyes?(=

i would really appreciate good answers %26amp;%26amp; any additional info, especially aboutt the hair lighteningg.

thankyouuuuu!%26lt;333333My hair/eye combo is too dark?
Even though you may want to lighten your hair with these techniques I would highly recommend going to the professionals when it comes to hair. If you do decide to do it yourself try Sun-in. purple is a fantastic color for those with dark eyes. I myself have dark hair and dark eyes and always get great compliments when I wear purple eyeliner or eyeshadow. Blue or green is also nice and if you have medium tone skin gold is really great for a more subtle look.My hair/eye combo is too dark?
Sun-In is really good for lighting your hair with the sun. Earth tones and neutral colors are great for dark brown eyes ^-^
Okay, first off sunlight and lemon juice from the store is very unhealthy for the hair, it dries the hair up and makes it unhealthy.

If you want to brighten your hair go to a salon and ask if they can brighten your hair a couple shades, but keep it natural.

but if you wanna go lighter with the eyes get colored contacts.

i havee brown eyes too and colored contacts work on me.

and im onlyy13 yrs old!! hahaha %26lt;33

    see ya !
I really wouldn't touch the sunlite or sun-in, you'll find it'll leave your hair more orange in color. The lemon juice probably won't even work if your hair is dark brown, so doing it professionally is really the only way. I had some highlights put in last summer and didn't really like the end result. As for the make up, try some purple hues...I recommend Revlon Color Stay in Berry Bloom. You should love the dark hair and eye combo, it makes for a little more exotic look :)
so for lightening i def dont' recommend lemon juice. sure it lightens it but it can damage it and make it super dry u know. so just stick with the stuff from the drugstore/ go to the beach alot and soak in all the sun you can get to lighten the hair but the best would be to go get it professionally done. it's worth the $.

and also for your eyecolor you could try colored contacts, and makeup would be...

eyeshadow- i recommend brown, beige, charcoal, lavender, violet, tans, khaki and olive green together are good too

colors to avoid would be pink. it makes it look swollen or irritated. sure you could try and u might pull it off, but it's best to leave the pink alone.

blue doesn't work too well either. kinda gives you a weird look but if you add more violet to it to give it a purple hue, i think it would work

but definetely don't go for silver. it's a washed out look and you should leave it for blue eyes, unless you wanna get colored contacts. ( but i think you also need a prescription? idk.)

    well yeah. that's it.
Well. You can change your eye color with contacts.. I suggest you put a little eyeliner ( massacre if you need it). A little blush ( only if u need it). And a little lipgloss. Do crazy things with your hair to make it fun. Pig tails with colorful Scrunchies, and ect. Buns, or just leave it loose!
Hi there and although I'm 38yo I'd like to think I'm a lil fashionable. lol

I too have brown hair/brown eyes. It all depends on what your taste is or what you're going for so be a little bit more specific on how you dress, etc. so I can give you more info.

I think dark hair with brown eyes is gorgeous so I think you've prob. found other pretty girls that just don't have your look so now you're questioning it????

I would stay away from lemon juice or other products like that becuz then you'll just look tacky and washed up (unprofessional as well).

So for the highlights go with a mix in different strands - it's up to you if you want it in chunks or more subtle, but I do carmel (this will lighten as you go in the sun so it'll eventually turn blondish) and copper bronze and I get mad compliments on it. You can email me and I'll show you pictures.

For the eye color - I normally do a light frosty cream on the lids and then you can do a small rim on your eyelid bone of a dark brown and blend it in. For eye liner - go easy and do a dark brown or brown but try to stay away from black because then you'll look like Elvira...although if it's a big party where it's going to be dark or a club then you could do black but don't cake it on. Also I use Almay mascara non waterproof and make sure you wash it off each night. For waterproof I use Maybelline (green container).

Again - get your hair done professionally because it's worth it. It'll last quite awhile and it'll lighten up as the months go by. And remember - you'll prob. hate it the first day (I always do), but after the next day - I love it and get mad compliments. Don't spend your $ on the overpriced places either - I've been to all of them and the lady I use at JCPenney's is killer and much less expensive. So don't ever buy into the thinking that because it's more expensive it's better - not true.

    Hope this helps :))))

HOW DO I GET BLONDE HAIR?

ok so ovr the summer my hair lightens up in the front and turns blonde with the help of a little lemon juice. im going to chile tomorrow, its about 95 degrees there every day and i will be staying for 10 days, how can i get blonde hair againHOW DO I GET BLONDE HAIR?
You can buy Sun-in at pretty much any store that carries hair dye. Buy that and follow the instructions. It lightens up hair a ton!HOW DO I GET BLONDE HAIR?
LEMON JUICE... put lemon juice on your hair often and it will lighten up noticably
Well you can always use lemon juice again, I've tried that and it works. But it is terrible for the hair! Very damaging. I would suggest going to a hairdresser and having them put some nice and subtle high lights in your hair. That's what I've just had done and when done properly, it can look very nice!

How should someone with medium brown hair go about lightening it to a dark blonde colour, without a salon?

my friend told me to buy a lighter blonde hair dye, and use that so it would go a darker blonde seeing as i'm brunette now, i'm sure you know what i mean. would that work?

if not, feel free to suggest products that will help/work.

i've heard that sun-in and the lemon juice way turn hair ginger, and obviously, i'm aiming to avoid the whole ';brunette-goes-blonde-and-it-turns-ginge鈥?fiasco. so any tips on how to KEEP it blonde once it gets there? i would prefer for it not to turn ginger (no offence gingers, just not my colour of preference!).

    thankies.

P.S: i cant afford to get it done at a salon, or i would. :)How should someone with medium brown hair go about lightening it to a dark blonde colour, without a salon?
I had darkish hair and used John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo and conditioner. It works and lightens hair but only when light hits the hair. You could try dying it, I think that's what im going to do x

    Natural hair lightening ingredients?

Ok I know that lemon juice, chamomile tea, and rhubarb can achieve subtle lightening on their own, but what if I combined them? Would they produce a stronger effect? If I add in peroxide will it negate the effectsor make them stronger? Also how long will would the shelf life be If I simply mixed them as a liquid into a spray bottle or combined in a conditioner. Thanks!

Oh by the way my hair is a light goldenish brown right now. I did a lot of dying and now I want to go back to blonde. I dont expect to get platinum results with this, but I would like to get it as light as I can without damaging my hair. Then maybe I will dye again.Natural hair lightening ingredients?

  • How can I get my hair lighter! Please help me!!?

Hey guys I was wondering if theres any way I could make my hair lighter? I have dark brown hair and I want to lighten it up. I don't want to color it and do crazy stuff with chemicals I just to use a simple idea to do at home. I've heard about lemon juice but then I hear that it turns orange for brunettes. Is some recipe that I could use? Any tricks? Please help! Thankyou %26lt;33How can I get my hair lighter! Please help me!!?
    Put lemon in your hair.

then let it set in the sun.

    eventually it'll turn lighter.

but your hair will kind of get damaged by the UV rays.

How can I get my hair lighter! Please help me!!?
but lemon juice in it and sun bathe.
Nope, anything you do at home will damage it as far as lemon juice, peroxide, etc. You should go see a professional cosmetologist, they may be able to do somethings in the salon, but short of coloring your hair I don't think there's anything you can do.
use sun in or lemon juice that's about all i know of
Actually just sit in the sun and it turns it light! Duh! Half of my friends have diffrent hair colors because we went to California. And no you wo't fry your hair off if you just walk around.
lemon juice is for blondes it won't work on you. To lighten dark hair you have to use peroxide that is why if a brunette wants to go blonde she has to peroxide her head and then put on the shade of blonde that she wants. Sorry

Please Help, hair falling out problem?

In the past month i have been trying to lighten by hair. I used peroxide a couple times and noticed that that was really bad and made my hair fall out so i completely stopped using that. Throughout the month I have been using lemon juice and vinegar which I noticed didn't damage my hair. Until one night about 2 weeks I had a mixture of lemon juice and vinegar in a bottle and was spraying it on my hair and using a blow dryer for a bout a half an hour. I noticed some of my hair come out. I thought that maybe it was from excessive blow drying so i went in the shower and washed it out. About 2 days after that (about 5-6 days ago) I tried it again but with just lemon juice before i even blew dry it i started pulling out hairs. Ever since then my hair has been falling out and i don't know what to do. I don't know how this is sickness or anything serious since it was no coincidence that my hair is falling out right after all that. Disregard all the stupid things i did to my hair what can i do to make it stop. I've also been applying all this to the top of my head near the scalp. It is not falling out in clumps just strands. Some PLEASE help. Please Help, hair falling out problem?
    It's a coincidence that I found this article just today after giving you my opinion. I'm typing verbatim as I read in Oprah's Magazine, ';Don't Panic: Have you noticed more of your hair in the shower drain or on your brush lately? It's normal to shed about 100 strands of hair a day, except at the end of summer, when you lose more hair than at any other time of year, ';When the weather's hot, our metabolism speeds up, making hair grow faster,';says New York City trichologist Philip Kinsgley. When temperatures start to cool in September, hair reaches the end of its growth phase and falls out. you might be expeiencing more breakage right now from exposure to sun, wind, chlorine, and saltwater, too.';

What's your experience with ';Sun In';?

I'm thinking of using it. I've already lightened my hair somewhat with lemon juice.. and I've got the bottom layer black. (it's been dyed that for a good year, theres no way in hell it's gonna come outtt) I figured I'd just tye the black aside and only spray the other parts. However, the roots of my hair seem to be getting lighter than the ends.

If you've used sun in, or even lemon juice. How'd it go?

How'd you get the ends really well? What's your experience with ';Sun In';?
well i have dark brown hair, and idk how its gana work for you, but, i know on the bottle it says not recommended for dark hair, well i was stupid enough not to listen to that, and i used it, and i regret doing that, cuz my hair was healthy and pretty, now its like not that pretty.

i heard taht its not that good, but try it see if you like it or not..... since you already did lighten it before, you dont really got much to loose

    :)

good luck! What's your experience with ';Sun In';?
OH WOW! I used sun-in and my hair has never looked more amazing. I had medium brown hair and it turned my hair light brown with bleach blonde highlights, it's amazing :D

You could be losing hair due to stress, excessive heat styling tool use, excessive hair product use, or the lemon and vinegar mixture.

I'd avoid blow drying and using the lemon juice for a while.

    That will probably help.

However, it's normal for humans to lose (on average) anywhere from 30-100 hairs a day.Hair falling out please help!?
ok im not 100% sure but it probably is from all of the acids in the vineger and the lemon juice, if u notice that if u get it on ur skin it will itch. so followed by the blow drier. u need to stop all of that for a little while and let ur hair have some time. this might sound weird but wash it in rain water as often as u can because it has all the minerals u need in there, after that dont blow dry it. ur hair well feel sooo soft..

but if tht dosnt stop u need to watch out cuz there are some really bad diesese that u can get when ur in ur teens to about 30. and all of ur hair falls out.
All you need to do is stop this process for a while. Give your hair a break. If you really want to lighten your hair, go swimming and get your hair wet, then sit out in the sun and let your hair dry. This will lighten it.
    use some heat protectant

    Natural hair hilightining?

Hey. I'm Shelby. my hair is naturally blonde, but in going to school my hair has gotten to a dark blonde, and some people would even call it light brown. I would like to know how to naturally lighten my hair so it looks more blonde. Like if you sit out in the sun I know that will lighten it..but are there any other ways to naturally speed that along? I've heard something about lemon juice, but idk exactly what to do with it. Can someone please help me!!Natural hair hilightining?
I'm not sure about this one...but I heard somewhere that you can cut a lemon in half. Go outside and sit in the sun, while every once in awhile rubbing the lemon juice into your hair. I think it bleaches your hair, but don't take my word for it. Just something I heard.Natural hair hilightining?
    Lemon juice does work.
u get this lemon cream stuff and stick it in ur hair. then u put tin foil in your hair and sit out in the sun. keep it in the sun 4 an hour. then take out the foil and wash it out.
i dont know any for you but i know a chemical that isnt harsh like bleach. --blue peroxyde-- or even regular peroxyde. it slowly lightens hair with the help of exposing it to some sun.

Recipes for natural hair lightening: will they work?

I found these recipes for hair lightening, but before I waste all the honey and cammomile tea in the house,i'd need to know if it would really work.

I have a chunk of very dark, dirty blonde hair.

    1st recipe:

Method for lightening hair color with Honey:

Mix 3/4 cup honey with 1/12 cups regular hair conditioner

Apply to damped hair. Wrap hair in saran wrap or a plastic shower cap.

Let sit for up to 8 hours, then rinse

    2nd recipe:

Steep 1/2 cup of the chamomile flowers in a 6 cups of boiling water for 30 minutes

Strain the tea, and allow to cool

Shampoo and condition hair as normal.

Tip head over bathtub or sink. Use a bowl underneath to catch the liquid. Pour the tea through towel-dried hair a few times.

Leave on hair for 30 minutes, then rinse with clean water.

I HAVE TRIED LEMON JUICE,PLEASE DON'T SUGGEST THAT.

I also don't care how many 'bucks hair lightener is from WalMart' (for a start,I have never seen a walmart and i'm broke),on that note,I will not go to a pro.

Thanks. (:Recipes for natural hair lightening: will they work?
Not sure about the first one, but I don't see how it would, and do you really want to put honey in your hair?? The second one works a little bit - but pretty much as much as the lemon one - only less sticky and disgusting. I struggled a lot with homemade recipes to lighten my hair when I was in my teens, and came to the conclusion that only chemicals can really help. Though, if you do decide to go for red instead of blond - use henna. My mom uses it and it comes out looking pretty much the same as my $100 colour from one of the better salons in town.Recipes for natural hair lightening: will they work?
Whats wrong with chemicals? Its a hell of a lot better working that using whatever is lying around the house.

How to make my hair blonder?

I'm going to be bored tomorrow... okay later today with Cali. time, and I wanted to know if lemon juice from a bottle would make my hair blonder. FROM A BOTTLE NOT FRESH. Sorry, but I asked this before a while ago, and everyone ignored the fact it is FROM A BOTTLE. (The stuff you put on apples to keep them from browning, and it's in a cute little plastic container shaped like a lemon, you keep it in the fridge. THAT.)

    Please and thanks!

Also, can you please suggest other ways to lighten my hair? It's blonde, not REALLY dark, but like, medium blonde.

Please and thanks... :) Did I already say that? Oh well.

%26lt;3 BlakcatHow to make my hair blonder?
It does but it takes some time. (and the stuff from that bottle is still lemon juice).

Just mix one part lemon juice to two parts water and spray it all over your hair with a spray bottle (just don't do it on freshly washed hair because lemon juice has acids in it and you need those natural oils for protection).

You have to be out in the sun for the lightning to take affect though (for the UV rays). But hey just throw on some sunscreen and you can work on getting a nice summer glow too :)

O and there is this citrus shampoo and conditioner that lightens hair as well, i forget what it's called but i'm pretty sure you can get it at any pharmacy. How to make my hair blonder?
Yes, it should work just as good as fresh. I use lemon sun-in, that's in a bottle, and it works good. If you want to buy that it works pretty well, it's about five bucks. If not, you could mix in a little bit of peroxide to the lemon juice (and a bit of water). Mix it really well and spray it in your hair with a spray bottle.
that's how my aunt makes her hair lighter. and she uses the bottle. she has to do it a couple times a week to make it really stand out though.
You can use lemon juice from a bottle, but make sure you stay in the sun. The sun takes the colour out of the lemon juice and your hair

you can also use certain shampoos that help make your hair lighter

    hope this helps....:)

    xoxo

    kelly jelly
    Ummm.

How do you KNOW you're going to be bored? Isn't that something that you only know when it's happening? I mean, how can you PLAN to be bored?

And, lemon Juice...yeah...it's lemon juice, even if it comes out of the little plastic lemon and you use it to keep apples from browning...it's STILL lemon juice. And it still does nothing to blond your already blond hair.

Why would you mess with it? it's ALREADY blond!

You want to lighten your hair, use Sunin. And a hair dryer.

WHAT is your IQ??? Cause, I'm guessing, under 100.
I've never heard anything about lemon juice from a bottle making your hair blonde, so I dunno.

But I have dark brown hair, and I used to dye it blonde and I used to use a hairdye called Born Blonde. the brand is Clairol. It worked really good. went from dark brown to light blonde.

    Hair help! Its ORANGE O_O?

Alright, so my hair is a really dark brown shade, and I tried to frost my hair and it turned ORANGE. Holy crap. I used Clairol Frost %26amp; Tip.

    BAD stuff. Dont use it.

My questions, I have a few are...

    1. I use lemon juice in my hair, will I get it lighter?

If I use lemon juice, can I just straighten it to lighten it or do I HAVE to sit out in the sun.

    2. Can I use the frosting stuff once more to get it thr right shade?

    3. Anything else I can do?

    4. P.S, if this doesnt work, then I'm going to start out blank again with REALLY dark brown hair, its usually mistaken for black, so again, how do I get the streaks of that colour in my hair.

Since you have extreamly dark hair you will have to do it again to get the color you would like. Also on the side of the box there is an 800 number to call to get advice. It is best that you call them as they are trained to help out is situations such as this.

Because you have such dark hair, it takes an extra time to get the full blond affect you want. Your hair changed from med brown to light brown to red and now to orange. It is just part of the lightning process. I would not suggest lemon juice as it is a much slower process and you would need to sit out in the sun. Lemon juice does not work as quickly as peroxides do.

Call the 800 number before you do anything.

    How to lightly Lighten Eyebrows?

Ok so I have dark brown hair and eyebrows and during the summer because of the sun my hair naturally changes to a medium brown with light brown highlights. but... my eyebrows stay the same shade of dark brown, i want to lighten them just a bit, but not like bleach them with hydrogen peroxide. and i've tried sun-in and lemon juice. any suggestions? How to lightly Lighten Eyebrows?
use a cream bleach like you use on arm hair. The trick is, put it on and only leave it for about a minute. After that, scrape away a section to see if its the color you want. If its good, wash it off. If not leave it on for another minute. Don't leave it on too long. Remember you can always go lighter if you want, but its hard to get it to go darker again. How to lightly Lighten Eyebrows?
a lot of hair salons offer that..it's the best and safest route to go. I think it's pretty cheap to get done, too.

My hair is too dark! how can i lighten it without bleach?!?

i have dark brown hair right now. my natural hair color is a lighter brown. my hair has been dyed quite a bit and a while back i bleached part of it, the bleach fried my hair. and alot of it broke off. i want my hair to be a lighter brown. and i will not use bleach anymore. i tried the lemon juice idea and the sea salt idea, but both of these only bring highlights. i dont want that. ive also tried just dying it with the lighter dye, but only my roots take because they are light. the dark brown never fades enough to dye it lighter. i want one solid color, LIGHT BROWN. any ideas?! your help is very much appreciated =]My hair is too dark! how can i lighten it without bleach?!?
Dark hair dye is difficult to lighten if you're doing it yourself. I'd recommend going to a salon to get it to the lighter shade that you want. If, however, you really want to do it yourself, you may find these pages helpful:

    i'm a red head. yes, i'm guilty of having the pasty white skin and freckles. many people always say ';omg i love red hair, don't ever dye it!'; but they don't understand how hard it is for us 'gingies.' and yes i hate the word ginger! it's a slang word for QUEER. that's why all redheads get so offended by it. also, i hate firecrotch. it's very annoying, and hurtful. i've tried everything to get pretty. but i use to wear a lot of makeup, and then people started calling me ';fake.'; i tried sunless tanner, but people called me ';oopa loompa.';

heres a picture of me over a year ago when i wore a lot of makeup. i look basiclly the same now. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd302鈥?/a>

it never ends. i tried lightening my hair with lemon juice and it did get lighter, but now its like a sandy red. i don't want to be the next lindsay lohan. but any tips on how to be more attractive? because i now most guys think red hair is a turn-off):I'm a redhead, and i'm sick of being ugly. how do i get pretty?
I am also a redhead (and love it!). I know it's a challenge right now that you can't be as dark tan as some people, but tan doesn't equal pretty! There are some beautiful celebrities that don't even TRY to tan, and everybody admires their great skin. Personally I think you're very pretty, and I can tell that in a few years you'll be gorgeous and fighting to keep the guys away. The person who said that college guys are much different than high school guys was correct--once you get to college, watch out! Plus, in my experience, guys love redheads. If they don't have an opinion before meeting one, after they date a redhead, they're fans for life :)

Some things to keep in mind: redheads are crazy, passionate about life, and just plain fun to be around. Plus, nobody's going to forget meeting you! I have people that I've only met once who remember me weeks later, just because my hair is so unique and beautiful. If you just take care of your body and treat your hair well (don't dye, or perm or any of those damaging things) you'll never regret it!I'm a redhead, and i'm sick of being ugly. how do i get pretty?
Don't do a thing! Redheads are the best! I have two redhead children and was a redhead growing up as well (I'm reddish brown now). My beard grows red as well. I think redheads are the most beautiful people in the world! Embrace it!

Hey, Elise. Don't let the jealous ones get to you. : )

Redheads are unique and beautiful! (But so are the rest of you.) Girls, competing and comparing will get us nowhere. We need to support each other. Who needs a man who can't see past the hair on your head?

You are beautiful, so be proud! : )

Maybe dye your hair this colour http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumb_131/1鈥?/a>

    its HOT!
Wear clothing and accessories to accent your hair color and skin tone. Or you could always resort to coloring your hair.
    shut up jennifer,,

    try a dark colour (:

if people still make fun of you tell them to **** off and say at least im not ugly on the inside like you
    Your not ugly.

I think you should dye your hair a little darker, but not TOO dark.

And don't wear to much make up. Just wear some eyeliner and mascara. And try getting layers and side bangs, you'll look pretty.

P.S.- Ignore Jennifer. She's just jealous because she probably doesn't have sexy redhair like you. =]
wow shut up you're not ugly at all.
don't even listen to the first answer, just stupid people wanting two points. i think your pretty embrace your self and be more confident. don't pile on the make up just use some mascara and lip gloss seriously there are guys that like all kinds of girls
As a fellow redhead I can understand where you're coming from.

It does seem like all the boys go for the blondes but there are some guys out there that find redheads attractive too!

Try getting a cute haircut with maybe some side bangs or curling your hair. I wear a good bit of makeup too, but I like it that way. Don't care so much what others think, everyone has their faults.

i am a red head freckly girl too and when you get a little older let me tell you men love red heads the true ones not these bottle fake ones ..be patient it will be amazing the difference between jerks at school and college guys
dye your hair or do blond highlights, put make up on but not a lot
omg!! i luv ur hair..i wish i had red hair...it looks so cute!!
If you're unhappy with the way you look, then that's one thing.

But don't worry much about what everyone else thinks of you.

First of all, you aren't ugly in any way. You have very cute features!

If you hate your hair, then I suggest going to a hair salon and getting a medium shade of brown with highlights and lowlights. It should look amazing!

Try getting a natural tan while it's still summer (make sure you wear sunscreen so you don't get burnt).

And in terms of makeup, go for a natural look with a bit of eyeliner, some mascara, and a clear lipgloss.

Remember that the only reason you should change yourself is because you really want to, and not because of anyone else.

    Good luck!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries or the way she combs her hair, the beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
wait you are not that bad and red heads are pretty sweet heart.
No ones ugly in this world they are those who find you ugly but there's others who find you beautiful
You are a beautiful girl. If you are dead set on not being a red head any longer then you just need to color your hair. Ask your mom or dad to take you to the hairdresser so you can talk to them about getting your hair colored. If it's light enough you could probly go blonde, but brunette might look more natural. Just don't forget your eyebrows if you do choose to color it! You don't want brown hair and red eyebrows.
um...hun....die ur hair and go have tea with mr. plastic surgery or mrs. botox...good luck!!
haha i know what u mean..

im not one but i do have freckles my dad and cousin are gingies

    well.. you dont look ugly

just wear black eyeliner and mascara

eyeshadow.. different colors that will stand out

oh and in that new movie house bunny

she turns an ugly nerd girl with red hair reallly pretty just kind of follow what she did.

    :)good luck
Tie your hair in a ponytail behind you and smile a lot. And stop trying to lighten your hair.
Girl your perfect let your hair out wear lip gloss/lipstick,eye shadow , put cute girly clothing, change your hair style to the side ,wear mascara ,and smile belive me it'll work and be you ;)

You're not ugly... I think you're really pretty and I actually do love ginger hair.

You have to make the most of your features, and don't wear TOO much makeup. Natural beauty is best. And remember, everyone wants to have what they don't have - I hate my curly hair but other people hate their straight hair...

calm down, go to cvs or walgreens and ask someone about a product called color oops. its a chemical that is SAFE AND WORKS AND YOU CAN DO IT THE SAME DAY and will take dye out :)
You have two options. Some stores sell dye-undoer goo. I'm not sure how well that works. The second option is bleaching it, and adding highlights and lowlights to bring it close to your natural color.
you could bleach your hair? but i would be more a White then blond
    stupido

if you put grease from tator tots on your hair for 20 minutes it will get all of the dye out of your hair.. so your hair will be blonde again. i know it sounds wierd but it worked for me.

It all depends how heavy your moustache growth is.

    It's a hormonal thing.

If there's not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with, for example, a slight moustache.

If you do decide you have to do something, then there isn't a simple answer and there's a lot of misleading ';information'; around.

Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of

    1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

    2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

    * Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

    * Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

    * Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

    * Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco/Philips razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

How do i fix my hair?

i had my hair cut yesterday and wanted to die it brown as ive done many times before... i bought Loreal Medium brown, i died it, followed all the directions and applied it properly in sections and its turned black with blotches of brown. i've searched the net for some home remedies to lighten it they suggested hot oil treatment (which did nothing but make it shiney) dishwashing liquid (which i REFUSE to put into my hair) and lemon juice with conditioner (which made my scalp itchy and conditioned my hair) i also have repetedly used head and shoulders ALL DAY and it has done nothing I NEED HELP... SCHOOL TOMORROW... JUDGEMENTAL TEENAGERS...

    my ideas are

    1. Bleach my hair and then re-dye it, which could turn it orange or green or leave it patchy

    2. go to the hairdressers and get it died a dark red which i have previously done and it has looked good on me (but im not sure how it will look after my hair has gone the way it has or if the red will dye over the black)

I am a male dying my hair?

My girlfriend suggested that I dye my hair. She dyed it and it came out close to black so I washed my hair several times every day and used lemon juice to lighten it as well.

Now I have light brown hair with many red tinges. I hate how it looks.

I have pale skin. I am planning to go to a salon to dye it a dark brown but I want it to be noticeably brown not black but still dark. I researched some sites but I'm still not sure. Is a dark chocolate brown, chocolate brown, or mocha brown good? I need help..!I am a male dying my hair?
Using lemon juice could certainly lighten even ones own hair color without the use of hair dye.

In your case, I strongly suggest that you ask for a professional hair colorist and not a hair stylist because you're not going for a hair cut.

When you make an appointment, ask the receptionist over the phone to give you their best hair colorist person and emphasize your being picky about your hair.I am a male dying my hair?
Salons must make a fortune sorting out home hair cuts and dyes. Just go to the slaon tell them whats happened and take their advise. They won't laugh they'll have seen it all before.

hey girls this weekend i went to the beach with my friends and one of the girls named heather decided to put lemon juice on my hair. she dumped it on the top of my head so now the top of my head is light blonde and the rest is medium blonde but the lemon juiced lightened my hair on top. girls should i keep my hair with it? is it permanent? how can i get rid of it?Girls answer this?
LOL!!! I used to use it to lighten my hair. But, I combed through my hair and had highlights.

It will grow out just like any other type of highlighting treatment

Depends how bad you look... consider shaving your head if it's that bad. HA!Girls answer this?
Lemon juice bleaches your hair and if your hair gets bleached then you can't get the color back. But that sounds like it would look cool, I think you should keep it that way.
i think it permantent, but i would die the rest of ur hair that blond color or die it the color ur hair was before they did that
    do what looks best
try soem oil on hair or were aa cap for acouble of days

I have dark brown hair with auburn highlights in it... I want to lighten it to medium brown with lemon juice, but still keep the highlights. Can anyone tell me how to do this?Hair Lightening... Please Help?
Well, first off, do you mean keep the highlights the same COLOR, or just keep highlights in your hair in general? Don't take my word for this, but I'm pretty sure lightening your hair with lemon juice will lighten all of it. So if you have highlights, natural or not, they should lighten too and stay highlights. Not sure though. Never tried.Hair Lightening... Please Help?
DONT!!!! lemon juise will make ur hair frizzy ive you split ends ........just stay out in the sun .....with out the lemon juice
try peroxide or hair coloring that dont have amonia.

How do you lighten dyed dark brown/ almost black hair naturally?

Hi, yesterday i decided to dye my hair a medium brown, with my natural hair colour being light brown. It turned out a LOT darker than i expected, almost black! Ive tried washing it with anti-dandruff shampoo, dish washing liquid, shower gel and put lemon juice and vinegar in it and blow dried it. It has only faded a tiny bit, and i was wondering if there is anything that i can do to lighten it naturally? I cant buy anything because my mum wont let me dye it again or get colour oops or anything similar to that, in fear that it will damage my hair %26gt;%26lt; oh and its not sunny here so i cant get sun on it!How do you lighten dyed dark brown/ almost black hair naturally?
Put lemon juice in it...that help a little but I don't know since your's is so dark.

How to get hair lighter for black haired people (the natural way)....?

Not really a question. Just a little informative if you didn't know. I recently was VERY successful in turning my hair a dark brown shade (without dye) just using natural home products! I just wanted to tell other people how I (an african-american btw with black hair) achieved it. All the sites say it can't be done. Well I had patience and perserverance and I got it done.

    Ingrediants

    1. Unstablized Hydrogen Peroxide (the stuff your mom used for your ears when you were a baby)

    2. Bottled lemon juice

    3. Hair freezing gel

    4. Hair dye brush (whatever it's called. the **** you pass bleach with)

Well ok. I got a bowl first. I took 2 handfuls of the freezing gel first. Then I dropped in the hydrogen peroxide. As much as you think you need. Sorry. I didn't write this down. lol. Then I dropped in lemon juice. Also again, as much as you think you need. But be weary of how much you put. Don't go crazy. This **** has to combine with the gel to remain in a gel-like state. You see what I'm saying? So I mixed all the ingrediants together. It was really watery at first so I got pretty worried that it wouldn't work. I just applied more gel and a while later- they combined with the gel and it remained 'jelly'. lol.

So I took the hair dye brush and applied it all over my hair. As soon as I finished, I wrap up the ingrediants and bowl in aluminum or food wrap (don't throw away) and put it in the refrigerator. You can either blow dry your hair or air-dry it. It doesn't matter. As long as it becomes initially dry. Then you leave it in for 2 hours or more. You don't have to put anything on it if you don't want to.

Wash it out with conditioner after the 2 hours (or more) are up. You may or may not see results as soon as you finished but you will by the end of the week. You have to repeat this process for the entire week. I reccomend following a Monday-Friday schedule. You start to see results Wednesday. Believe me or not, I saw results the first day! I have a really good mirror lol. But now I happy to report that my hair is exactly the shade I wanted it. It's great. But It's not something I plan to do all the time. I usually just take the easier route and buy La Bella Hair Lightening Gel. Which does all this work for you. Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you.How to get hair lighter for black haired people (the natural way)....?
That's acutally pretty cool! When I was reading your thing I was like ';UNstabilized Hydrogen Peroxide?'; I was thinking is that safe? But Stabilize sounds better. Way to go! I might keep that in mind for me, since I'm black, but I already have dark brown hair anyway.

How can I lighten up my chocolate brown hair?

I had red hair before and I recetly went to the salon for a new color and I wanted to go to a blonde shade but my hair styilst refused to go lighter on me aka bleaching. And so I had no choice but to pick chocolatebrown and its to dark for me. Are there any home remedies to lighten it up to a light or mdium brown? I had chocolate brown hair like 2 yes ago and the sun did the trick by making it alot lighter but I dont know if it will happen this time. Plus I have some red in my hair but its motly brown just red in the light so if the sun lightens it up will the red be more noticable? I heard I could try lemon juice but I dont want it to interfeer with the red and make me have orange tints, could that happen? Just please help! I want it to be lighter so for my next visit it'll be easier to go to that blonde or should I try an ash brown since ash takes red out?

Also my hair styilt said if I want to go blond I should wait 6 months? So my hair can repair itself but my hair texture is fine. How can I lighten up my chocolate brown hair?

What will lighten up my hair without getting it colored?

I have light brown hair with blonde highlights and I want to get blonder without dying it again. I just want my hair healthy! But blonder. haha.

I've used lemon juice out in the sun a few times and I use purple shampoo once in a while to keep the color vibrant.

    Any ideas?

And any tips on how my hair will just GROW faster!? My hair takes forever. And I know hair wont just up and grow. HahaWhat will lighten up my hair without getting it colored?
i heard spraying lemon juice and then going out in the sun helps it lighten up and bring out more of highlights. but ive been too lazy to try hhaaha.

oh and ive been wanting to ';longen'; my hair. and i also heard its good to massage your head, and that like stimulates your blood cells and helps it grow.

ohhh, also, put your hair in braids, that helps tooo!

hope it helped! What will lighten up my hair without getting it colored?
No matter what you use, if you are getting colour loss, that indicates damage. That is a sure sign of damage... either from sun or lemon or anything else.

Sorry, but the only way you are going to be lighter is to use bleach... no matter what form it comes in. The sun, lemon, or chemicals-- it's all bleach, and they all lighten hair colour. With a proper bleach, you have control over the effect-- but not with the others. The sun and lemon will cause incredible damage... that is how it lightens colour.

If you want vibrant, that is a different thing altogether. You don't get that with bleach. That is another question.

And you know of course that you can't make your hair grow any faster, longer, thicker, or blonder. It is going to do what it was programmed to do. Learn to work with it.
I think the sun should lighten your hair.

How do I highlight my hair without using dye?

I was born with dark black hair and I want to lighten it to dark brown,i seemed to have gotten my temples to dark brown.I use lemon juice, but i always condition it afterwards.I sit in the sun for 15 minutes, and how much longer should i sit? I want my results to be that my hair is a brown/black color when seen in light.

HELP?!How do I highlight my hair without using dye?
Yeah, lemon juice usually works really well but you should try sitting in the sun longer than 15 minutes. Maybe try 30. Or you can buy this stuff called Sun-In. It's relatively cheap, and it works better than lemon juice. All you have to do is spray it in your hair and sit outside.

Well, I won't say that your hair will be damaged, but I WILL say that bleach and 20 volume developer is a better option to lemon juice and peroxide. I have jet black hair and a blonde streak in the front, so I think the style would be great. Kinda like Kat Von Dee. Just make sure that you use the correct products so that the health of your hair isn't at risk.

I am a hairdresser and I have never colored hair that way. My advice to you is to cut a piece of your hair where no one can see and test this out before you do it so you will know exactly what it will look like when it comes out. Hope this helped!

Im going to lighten my hair this summer...?

    .... with lemon juice.

and i want to know how many hours a day should i sit in the sun for?

and how many days a week.

    without actually getting it dyed

    oh %26amp;%26amp;

    i was considering using sun-in

but i heard that it REALLY damages your hair.

    is that true?

or should i take a risk and try it out?

    thankssss

:DIm going to lighten my hair this summer...?
dont doo it %26gt;.%26lt;!Im going to lighten my hair this summer...?
Don't use sun in, it'll make your hair dry and brittle, and if you go into a pool with it on it'll turn your hair funky colors. (been there done that, and it wasn't pretty). Try using a little bit of lemon juice on it before you go out in the sun and it'll lighten it up too, without the damage of sun in. As far as how long a couple hours at a time and by fall it'll be lighter.

I dyed my hair too dark, and dyed over it with a lighter color and it has not lightened. What can I do?

I recently dyed my hair to soft black. I have naturally almost black hair, and normally when I dye my hair, it lightens with a few washes. Hence going black instead of brown. It has lightened up a little, as I use Head and Shoulders shampoo. I waited about three weeks and tried to dye it dark brown. It did nothing. Its been two weeks since I dyed it last. How can I get it to lighten up? Can I use blonde dye on my hair? What about lemon juice? I don't really care if it turns orange-y, I can dye over that.I dyed my hair too dark, and dyed over it with a lighter color and it has not lightened. What can I do?
OMG! My name is Alanna ********** coolio another alanna out there sweet!

    1. Get a color toner gets hair to natural color without damage

    2. don't use any harmful heat on it

    3. Use matrix shampoo/conditioner really works

    4. use a diffuser

    5. after shower use bio-silk for silky hair

    6. put 2 tablets of vitamin E into damp hairI dyed my hair too dark, and dyed over it with a lighter color and it has not lightened. What can I do?
If you have the money, go to the hair salon.

If you don't - dying it lighter shades of brown will not work. What you need is bleach it up a bit - so any blonding kit for dark hair will work - you do not need the dye from it as much as the bleach. It's just hard to tell how long you need to wait and also it'll be very easy to ruin your hair with all these dyes.
Bleach but it can SERIOUSLY mess it up even worse.

If going to a salon is out of the picture just bleach it at home to a lighter orangey shade and then dye over it with the lighter shade of brown. Hopefully your hair won't be fried but you could just get like 2 inches cut off the bottom if they do feel crunchy or gross from dying to much. Good luck!
i saw a product in walgreen that clariol makes that's a color corrector but i think that's only good when you just colored your hair.

but i wouldn't risk that turning your hair orange, green or purple. go to your hairdresser to fix it if you don't like it.
Are you crazy you never do that ! Once you have die on you just cant die your hair again until the die is washed out.I suggest you wash out all the die and wait a week ,then die it back honey brown so it not too dark and not too light.
Go get it done by a pro. Honestly your hair is very precious and i would pay the money to get it done right. Choose a good salon and your hair will look amazing. They went to school fo this! Let them do the work and you can sit back and relax.
You'll probably need to use bleach. But you need to wait a while. If you keep dying you hair every few weeks you hair is going to be really damaged.

Go to the salon, to get it done, or ask them or options.
don't do any more at home hair dye jobs.

go to a salon where a professional can help you.

CAUTION: you might have to bleach it and start over.
Add highlights. It worked for me. It actually looked really good with the dark hair. Make sure to go to a salon, though
Shave it all off and start over ;-)
go to the salon and see if they can do something or let it grow out
u should go to the salon

    PLEASE DON'T SAY LEMON JUICE!

If lemon juice is part of your answer, tell me what to mix it with to make it work because it's not working alone. i want something to like bleach it, or a recipe for bleach or something.

does peroxide really work? what do i do with it and how long do i keep it in?

i hope for i not to turn my hair orange either.

Please help!!How do i lighten my hair without hair dye?
Peroxide lightens hair by stripping it of its natural pigment. It's quite harsh and can sorely damage hair if left on too long or used at too high a concentration. I wouldn't recommend trying to lighten your hair yourself - I'd either go to a hairdresser or get someone experienced in using hair bleach to help you.

If you *only* use peroxide, your hair will most likely end up orange, or at the least a brassy straw colour. To end up with a nice lighter colour, you basically bleach it to provide a paler 'canvas' and then put dye on top to get it to the actual tone you want. Without using dye, your hair STAYS orange.

i best repeat that peroxide can really damage hair. As in, make it so brittle that it snaps off at the lightest touch. How do i lighten my hair without hair dye?
hair dye is healthier for your hair than peroxide and lemon juice. they fry your hair. go to a salon to make sure that you do not damage your hair. it is more expensive but it is worth it.
a product called sun in, but if you have dark hair it might turn your hair orange ish. just go to a professional its way better for your hair
DON'T use bleach: it'll take all of the colour away from your hair so you'll have white hair forever!

try rinsing your hair in lemon juice/chlorine and lay down outside when it's really sunny for at least 2 hours.
why not have the sun do the work? you don't have to buy anything, and you'll get a tan and highlights in your hair. make sure to use sunscreen. i have ';teen'; magazine and it says that you should put sunscreen on your scalp to keep from sunburning your scalp.

    good luck!

How do I lighten my dark brown hair naturally?

Okay so my hair is dark brown and I want to dye my bangs temporarily blue with kool-aid or food coloring or something temporary. My parents won't let me dye it permanently or bleach my hair. I need to get my lighter though, if the blue coloring is going to show at all. So I need to find a way to lighten it naturally and fast!

Everywhere I look, I see lemon juice and sunlight. Lemon juice is a good idea but it's still the dead of winter here in the Pocono Mts so sunlight is kind of out of the question until April. Yeah, long winters.

Anything else? My hair is pretty dark but its not black; the sun gives me light brown highlights sometimes in the summer. However, I can't wait for the sun to come out.............

Ideas? How do I lighten my dark brown hair naturally?
oh you can put pure lemon juice on it and then just go out in the sun and after a few days you will see that it will turn lighter (works best in summer)How do I lighten my dark brown hair naturally?

I have a question about lightening hair..?

just wondering how muh change there would be. i have medium light brown hair and if i dyed it a little bit umm blonder, how much change would you be able to see? or if i lightened it with lemon juice...? how light??

THANKSSS! ;)I have a question about lightening hair..?
Hey Kaylee! Everyone is different. Your going to have to try it out yourself to know exactly what shade Its going to get. You shouldn't do that often because it damages your hair a alot causing spilt ends and stuff like that. I suggest you use real hair dye! It doesn't have to be q fancy brand, just any pharmacy brand will work. Plus, it's cheap too!!! For lemon, you really don't know what colour it's going to get but hair dye you'll know. Good luck hope I helped
