I have dyed my hair numerous times, but about 2 months or so ago i dyed it a neutral blonde that kind of came out with a red tint to it, but nothing drastic what so ever. I was wondering if it would be okay to use lemon juice on my hair just to lighten it up a bit, or am i risking it becoming red or orange. and if its ok to do then how would i go about doing so?
thanks! How to highlight hair with lemon juice?
Mix it with water and put it in a spray bottle, when your hair is wet, spray it in your hair, then dry it with a hair dryer on the hot setting. If you are going to be outside that day that's even better, the sun brightens it better than a blow dryer.

How can i ensure hair lightening with lemon juice???? please help! (10 pts for good answer!)?
just yesterday i attempted to lighten my dirty blonde hair with REAL lemon juice.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=28br7a1%26amp;s=4- that is a picture of my hair before my attemption yesterday...it is still that color today.
is itj ust not meant to work on that kind of hair??? i'm not sure. today i am considering trying again by using bottled lemon juice. i'm not quite sure what i could've done wrong. should've pulled my hair back opposed to leaving it down???How can i ensure hair lightening with lemon juice???? please help! (10 pts for good answer!)?
Dont use bottled lemon juice, I dont think the stufff works.
Take some water, about half a cup, squeeze the juice of two lemons in it, mix a spoon of honey in it, put it in a spray bottle. after you shampoo, spray it on your wet hair, and then sit out in the sun until your hair dries. Leave your hair untied.
Repeat it about 3 times a week untill you see results. It may take time. but DONT try it everyday.
The honey will keep your hair from getting really rough.
I tried this and I had almost jet black hair. Now it has brownish streaks. How can i ensure hair lightening with lemon juice???? please help! (10 pts for good answer!)?
you're supposed to go out in the sun after applying. though, I think it just needs the heat so maybe you can try it with a hair dryer.
lemon juice will be very drying to your hair so make sure to condition. :D
and I'm not sure if you go swimming in pools a lot, but I remember one year I used a lot of sun-in and then was doing a lot of swimming in pools. I had some really unattractive green streaks in my hair. my mom had to take me to the salon to have them removed. and I know sun-in isn't the same as lemon juice but it might do the same when it hits the chlorine.
yuu have to go out in the sun , when it's really sunny because it has acid in it and it reacts with it.
also it is not guaranteed to work, maybe you should try buying some hair products, i suggest using sunsilk leave in cream for blondes that helps.
keep working at it, it wont work the first day, i also use this stuff called, Sun In, u just put it in, in ur damp hair and 1ce sun hits it, BAM! u have liter hair! lol.

How can I lighten my hair with lemon?
I have heard that you can squirt lemon juice into your hair and then sit out in the sun, but do you leave the lemon juice in? How long do you have to sit in the sun for? Thanks. How can I lighten my hair with lemon?
Yes it works. Make sure you have it evenly all over your hair or on the sections that you want to be lighter. You can see when it changes, but it will probably be a little lighter when you wash your hair. The lemon juice makes your hair look wet, so it looks darker. When you wash and dry your hair it will end up being a little lighter than it looked before you washed it.How can I lighten my hair with lemon?
Yeah, you leave it in. People say about half an hour, but, just like it takes different people different amounts of time to tan, it takes different people different amounts of time for their hair to change colors. So you can stay out in the sun as long as you want, or until you see a difference. But be sure to condition your hair really well in the shower afterwards because lemon juice can dry out your hair.
ok this is what you do : put lemon juice in your hair just like shampoo til it covers your WHOLE head, then you go lay out in the sun for about 30 min or more it depende how hot it is out there =) but if it is a hot sunny day like 90 degrees or something then i would say atleast for about 30 min.
This is one of the oldest ways to lighten your hair, and it does work. It will take less time the lighter your hair is to start (so a dark brunette wil take longer than a medium blonde, but both will see results).
Just be sure you're not doing this on color-treated hair (yes, chemical highlights count!). It will do very strange things to the color, and you'll most likely need to have it fixed professionally!
if your hair is died blond then use camamele(I'm not sure how to spell it) tea and lemon juice, stay out in the sun for 1 hour or until hair dries. Or you may use a shower cap and a blow drier... I've used just lemon juice twice, but not camamele because I don't dye my hair, but it work really well. good luck! : )
Mix 2 parts lemon juice with 1 part water and 1 part conditioner. Mix it well and apply evenly to hair.
I heard that, that's really bad for your hair. What is does is, it strips the hair making it look light, but damaging it as well.

How do you bleach your hair with lemon juice?
i want to lighten my hair but not turn it completely white. my hair is a dark-blonde-almost-brown color now, i want it to be a lightish blonde. is that possible to do with lemon juice? How do you bleach your hair with lemon juice?
Lemon juice will bring out very subtle highlights in your hair, it really won't lighten it all that much. It sounds like you want to lighten your hair by a few shades, so you'd probably be better off going to a salon and having your hair colored. How do you bleach your hair with lemon juice?
Sun exposure will lighten your hair, although very slowly. The acid in lemon juice can help it happen faster. It won't turn dark hair blonde, but it will lighten your hair slightly.
Put some lemon juice on your hair where you want it lighter and go out in the sun. If you have dark brown hair, it probably won't turn blonde but will give you red/auburn highlights. It seems to work best on people who have dirty blonde or light brown hair.
Use it on dirty hair, rather than freshly washed hair. That way the oils in your hair will protect it from the drying effects of lemon juice.
Squeeze the juice out of a few lemons, mix it with a third amount of water and put it in one of those cheap plastic spray bottles. Spray it all over your hair before going outside for all over lightening effect.
It is possible to lighten hair using lemon juice, but you also need to expose your hair to lots of sunlight.

I'd fill a bowl with lemon juice, put my hair in, wear goggles because you dont want it in your eyes.
and id go out in the direct sun, loads of sunscreen on, and let my hair dry, and i'd dtay out there all day, i took b4 anf after pics too, its works well!favorite recipe chicken

How long does lemon juice bleached hair last?
I want to try lightening my STRAIGHTENED hair with lemon juice, then dying it. (after the necessary two weeks).
How long does the lemon juice last, and how much damage does it do to the hair?
Will I be able to dye it a bright colour afterwards, without screwing up the colour? How long does lemon juice bleached hair last?
Yes, you can actually! I've even got the instructions for you right now!
Step1
Work the lemon juice into your hair. Make sure that you work the lemon juice evenly across the top of your hair, along your part areas, hair lines and crown areas.
Step2
Leave the lemon juice in your hair while you are out in the sun for about an hour. The lemon juice contains lots of acid, so you really don't want to expose your hair to both extreme sun and the acid in the lemon juice for long periods of time. Rinse the lemon juice out of your hair.
Step3
Repeat the process of applying the lemon juice in your hair and being in the sun as many times as necessary to notice a difference in the blonde color. The lemon juice should eventually give your blonde hair highlights and streaks of lighter natural looking color. This process may take several weeks to achieve a real difference in coloring.
**wow i didn't really think you could do this, but i guess i was wrong !! have fun! ***How long does lemon juice bleached hair last?

Help with naturally lightening my hair with tea/lemon juice?
I have chocolate brown hair, not dry/weak, so i dont need to worry at the moment.
im about to go sit outside with cammomile tea in my hair. How well will it work to lighten my hair? anyone have any ideas of what color?
and how well do you think Peroxide would work on my type of hair? i was about to do it, but then a million people told me how badd it is for your hair/scalp.
which would work better for me? the tea or the lemon juice?Help with naturally lightening my hair with tea/lemon juice?
no no no bad idea! one DO NOT use peroxide on your hair it will turn your hair either orange yellow or white...not the blonde your looking for...And the lemon juice works in lightening your hair but the acids in the lemon juice can really damage and fry out your hair...The best option would be to go to a store and buy a highlighting kit or if you want it all lighter get a lighter dye and dye it yourself, but if you arent experienced with dying your hair going lighter by yourself almost always ends in disgusting oranges...So I would go get it proffesionally lightened and that is the best way for your hair.
