How are you supposed to use lemon juice to lighten your hair? I am a medium/light brunette and want to get it lighter or like some highlights. I've heard about using lemon juice but haven't tried it, does it work? Do you put it in your hair when your hair is wet or when it is dry?? use a spray bottle filled w/ 1/4 lemon juice and the rest water. Spray in your hair,needs to be wet 1st otherwise it gets crunchy) and it needs sun exposure to actually work. Its just like sun in, gives you those natural surfer girl highlights.How to lighten hair with lemon......?
All you do is squeeze the lemon into a bowl and comb the juice through your hair. Then get out in the sun.
