How to lighten my hair??

i died my hair light brown but it didnt change colors ,its stil dark brown, but my roots look lighter..is there some way i can lighten my hair without dying it again?? also i heard u can lighten it with lemon juice but all i have is lime juice, would that work??How to lighten my hair??
The part that didn't lighten is dyed right? Dyed hair normally doesn't lighten as easily as the roots. You can use haircolor remover (found in many places, call around!) to remove the dye, THEN try dying it light brown again.How to lighten my hair??

yes lemon juice works, not effectively though.

to get your hair lighter you will need to use some form of bleach

or alternative lightners such as ';touch of sun';
Lemon Juice can work well. But I have read that you need to go out into the sunlight.

lemon it does work but it would take long time before it happens, because you need to be outside on under the sun so it would work. It's lighter at your roots because they were virgin, but if you want to dye your hair again, use a tone lighter than the desire and use a level 30 for the peroxide. That would make it lighter without bleching. Good luck.
No Lime juice will not lighten your hair, go get it done professionally, please don't take home advice on this, your hair could end up really messed up, I know because I'm a retired Salon Owner %26amp; Hairdresser.
don't use lemon juice. what probably happened when yo tried to color your hair is that you had previous artificial color on it. artificial color will not lighten artificial color. since your regrowth was new hair, and therefore not previously colored, it processed as expected, and the rest stayed the same. you have to do a color remover and then go back with the tone you want. there are some gentle color removal products, however most of them are professional use only. you should speak with your stylist. if you don't want to do a color remover, a heavy highlight all over will lighten things up. you don't have to do blond, you can highlight with a lighter brown. with previously tinted hair, this tends to be a two-step process. first you decolorize or bleach the hair, and then you tone. if you find a good color specialist, they can do this procedure with minimal damage. lemon juice, like sun-in will damage your hair. it also never comes out and makes future color services a problem
Lemon and lime juice won't help this time . You can mix a little bleach and do a soap cap and just lighten it up a little but you would have to watch it carefully and if you don't know what your are doing I would say don't do it . Did you have any tint on your hair before you tinted light brown ? Did you put the tint on your whole head or just the roots ? It sounds like you had tint on your hair and then tinted it lighter but the tint that was on your hair just absorbed the new tint . Wash it for a few weeks and then go and have it looked at by a professional .
try blonde hair dye of the same brand. it will make it light brown
