How do i lighten my hair with lemon juice?

Well I have Dark brownish-redish hair and i want to make the tips of my hair lighter and maybe have lighter highlights how do i do this with lemon juice?!?!?! please help!! LOL thanksHow do i lighten my hair with lemon juice?
hmm. for dirty blonds, lemon juice works. however, i am not sure if it works on darker hair. but if you want to try it, then you should put lemon juice in a bowl. go outside into the sun, and dump the bowl onto your head. you're supposed to wait about a half hour until you rinse it..so stay outside in the sun and just read a book or something. after a half hour or so, you can go rinse it out in the shower. but it needs to be hot outside, during that half hour. like 75 or higher. hope it works. good luck! How do i lighten my hair with lemon juice?
i thought you need bleach to lighten hair?

D:
mix it with equal parts water. pour it in your hair with your head tipped back in the shower.
squeeze the lemon juicy on your hair where you want it lighter.
Just pour it on and go into light...sunshine is better, but I DON'T recommend it at all. It prolongs the ';damage'; that lifting your hair HAS to do to do the job AND there is no control over the brassy look you will ABSOLUTELY get from trying to lighten with your apparent type of hair. IF you WANT Brassy Gold, Orange or Red highlights then it MIGHT give you the color you want. Juice takes a LONG time to work and lifts a smidgeon at a time! What is your thought on WHY you would choose to do this rather than obtaining a lifting color (most any color lighter than you own...but choice is yours depending on how much lift you want)? If you want to avoid brassy tones DYE your hair with Loreal Excellence and use a COOL tone or ASH tone color. It will specify which it is on the box. Do not use a warm or nuetral color. Actually with your already reddish brown, you will likely still have SOME little amount of brass even using ash or cool colors. The hair I have witnessed with juice used, or hydrogen peroxide (which works too) is like STRAW...you don't want that do you? Faster is usually better...remember that.

Hope this helps,
