Lightening my hair with lemon juice...need help!?

ok...so i want to lighten my hair with lemon juice because everyone that i talk to says the sun-in doesnt work. so, before i do it...i have some questions, just to be sure that i do it right.

1. how much lemon juice do i use?

2. do i dilute it with water?

3. how do i apply it to my hair?

4. how long do i have to be out in the sun?

5. how many times do i have to do it before i see a change in my hair?

so, yeah...thanks for the tips.Lightening my hair with lemon juice...need help!?
Answers:

1.enough lemons to spray on your hair so keep on squeezing if its not enough.

2. No it wont work as well.

3. you put the lemon juice in a spray bottle and spray it all over your hair and comb it through. If you want highlights then soak certain peices with the juice and get them completly covered.

4. It really depends on your hair. If it is darker then it will take longer. so hour to 3 hours.....somewhere inbetween...also if your hair is darker you have more red pigment and it will bring out that.

5. This also depends so just use it once if you dont see a change then do it again.

Extra tips:

Use real lemons not lemon juice you buy in a store because it has stuff added in and it will be different.

You can also put it in your hair and blow dry it and that works some if you do it a few times.

It makes your hair get stiff so wash it out good!

ok well i hope this helps!Lightening my hair with lemon juice...need help!?
Oh no don't do it. It's really harsh on your hair and can make it dry. Talk to a salonist. GoOD LucK
depending on how much hair yu have is how much yu use, the more yu use the better.

yu dont have to add any water at all

simply wet yur hair first then pour it over/ brush it through then sit in the sun(works best) or blow dry.

sit outside till your hair is totally dry.
When I was younger (not that it was that long ago) I used to lighten with lemon juice. I used 2 parts lemon juice to 1 part water. I sprayed it on dry hair with a water bottle, then blew dry my hair with a blowdryer. It worksmuch faster than laying in the sun. The heat is what actually lightens your hair. If you want, try 2 parts water to 1 part lemon juice at first and go from there. But do not use sun-in... It's worthless :) Good luck to you sweetie!!
use, FRESH lemons jjuice, cannot stress that enough...apply with a sponge brush that you can find at a a local arts and carft store

when you apply, sponge it thru your hair, the top layer of it and then lay in the sun (apply sunscreen so you dont get burned) and let your hair be exposed to teh sun

you might have to do this a couple of times, such as about every three weeks for a month or two...but it alldepends on your hair and how dark it is now and how light you want it to be

its important that your hair does not get too damanged in this process or that you dont get scalp burn, so make sure your hair is really conditioned
I did this just before the start of summer, I used half lemon juice half water, mixed it up, and put it in a spray bottle. Use a spray bottle that will spray in wide ranges, so it goes evenly on your hair. I did it the first time and sat out in the sun until it was dry, then i did it again and waited for it to dry, and that was when i saw it changing. My hair was dirty blond but now its getting more blond :]
1. as much as it takes

2. yes wet your hair really good

3. take a strand of hair (thick, or thin however you want it)

dip your fingers in lemon juice, or use a wash cloth. You'll probably need to dip it a few times.

4. stay out in the sun until it drys an then a hour or so. Or you could do it until it dry's and just do this every time before you take a shower until you have your hair the way you like it.

5. You probably would have to do it until you can see a change.

I know this works because i do this to my hair all the time.

Trust me tuns of experience!!

Good Luck!
