it never ends. i tried lightening my hair with lemon juice and it did get lighter, but now its like a sandy red. i don't want to be the next lindsay lohan. but any tips on how to be more attractive? because i now most guys think red hair is a turn-off):I'm a redhead, and i'm sick of being ugly. how do i get pretty?
I am also a redhead (and love it!). I know it's a challenge right now that you can't be as dark tan as some people, but tan doesn't equal pretty! There are some beautiful celebrities that don't even TRY to tan, and everybody admires their great skin. Personally I think you're very pretty, and I can tell that in a few years you'll be gorgeous and fighting to keep the guys away. The person who said that college guys are much different than high school guys was correct--once you get to college, watch out! Plus, in my experience, guys love redheads. If they don't have an opinion before meeting one, after they date a redhead, they're fans for life :)
Some things to keep in mind: redheads are crazy, passionate about life, and just plain fun to be around. Plus, nobody's going to forget meeting you! I have people that I've only met once who remember me weeks later, just because my hair is so unique and beautiful. Don't do a thing! Redheads are the best! I have two redhead children and was a redhead growing up as well (I'm reddish brown now). My beard grows red as well. I think redheads are the most beautiful people in the world! Embrace it!

I think you should dye your hair a little darker, but not TOO dark.
And don't wear to much make up. Just wear some eyeliner and mascara. And try getting layers and side bangs, you'll look pretty.

As a fellow redhead I can understand where you're coming from.
It does seem like all the boys go for the blondes but there are some guys out there that find redheads attractive too!
Try getting a cute haircut with maybe some side bangs or curling your hair. I wear a good bit of makeup too, but I like it that way. Don't care so much what others think, everyone has their faults.

i am a red head freckly girl too and when you get a little older let me tell you men love red heads the true ones not these bottle fake ones ..be patient it will be amazing the difference between jerks at school and college guys

But don't worry much about what everyone else thinks of you.
First of all, you aren't ugly in any way. You have very cute features!
If you hate your hair, then I suggest going to a hair salon and getting a medium shade of brown with highlights and lowlights. It should look amazing!
Try getting a natural tan while it's still summer (make sure you wear sunscreen so you don't get burnt).
And in terms of makeup, go for a natural look with a bit of eyeliner, some mascara, and a clear lipgloss.
Remember that the only reason you should change yourself is because you really want to, and not because of anyone else.

You are a beautiful girl. If you are dead set on not being a red head any longer then you just need to color your hair. Ask your mom or dad to take you to the hairdresser so you can talk to them about getting your hair colored. If it's light enough you could probly go blonde, but brunette might look more natural. Just don't forget your eyebrows if you do choose to color it! You don't want brown hair and red eyebrows.

You're not ugly... I think you're really pretty and I actually do love ginger hair.
You have to make the most of your features, and don't wear TOO much makeup. Natural beauty is best. And remember, everyone wants to have what they don't have - I hate my curly hair but other people hate their straight hair...
