Lemon juice to dye hair?

I heard that lemon juice can lighten your hair i was wondering how to do it and how often you should do it and how well it works. I also heard it can dry and damage your hair but is it worse than dying it with chemical bleech and that. Also does it go patchy and orange. Prefere advice from people who have tryed it but any help welcomeLemon juice to dye hair?
I wouldn't do it.

Both bleach and lemon juice are damaging to your hair, but in the long run, the bleach is the better bet.

First of all, the results with lemon juice can be sketchy at best--your hair will either not respond to its supposed bleaching powers or, worse, turn a weird color.

Also, even if your hair DOES start bleaching a little bit, you will probably have to use the lemon juice at least a couple of times, damaging your hair more than once.

My advice would be to go out and get an at-home kit, or, better yet, go to a salon to color your hair.Lemon juice to dye hair?
mm i haven't tried it, but it sounds like a really bad idea. if you want to lighten your hair but can't afford it, wait until you can! don't risk ruining your hair just because you need a change now, the damages that you could do would just end you up in the salon in the end anyways...
lemon juice will lighten your hair if you are blond or a very light brown use a mask or conditioning treatment after
i think ness maybe right........i have dark hair and when i used lemon juice on it (to remove dandruff) nothing happened to the color.
mmm..lemon juice is very acidic and use too much of it and you could fry your hair- la mixture of lemon juice, water and peroxide, MOSTLY water, sprayed on your hair can work, but you have to sit out in the sun for two hours- thats what my aunt used to do, and she had dark blonde/ light brown hair- and shes a peroxide blonde.

i wouldnt really do it if i were you to be honest, because you don't really know what the results could be like.
Lemon juice will just damage your hair, it contains acid. It used to be fashionable to use it then sit in the sun but is not recommended at all.

If your hair is already blonde, you can make a chamomile infusion and use that to rinse your hair, it will just brighten up your blonde. Otherwise, the only way to permanently lighten hair is to use a product containing bleach and, for the best results, get it done at a salon.
I read a book once where the girl went to Spain and washed her hair with lemons so it made her hair lighter in the sun, but she had blonde hair.
ive done it before and it does work if you put on alot of lemon juice evenly all over your hair and then blowdry it on high heat... it doesnt work so well by just sitting in the sun. On dark hair it will go orange. Its alot worse for your hair than dying it professionally ... it made my hair brittle dry %26amp; damaged , i suggest you not do it
its not gonna drastically change your hair color. tho it will lighten it up a bit. Im not really sure how many times a day or any of that. You should try looking it up.
