Does adding lemon juice to shampoo make hair lighter??

if so how long does it take and what else should I add to my shampoo to make my hair lighter. yes, i have already tried sitting out in the sun with lemon juice in my hair. but what else can i do to natrually lighten it. I have heard about vinegar does that work well?? Any homemade remedies i can make?? I know about charomile tea. but will mixing vinegar, the tea , and lemon juice together make it lighter??Does adding lemon juice to shampoo make hair lighter??
I have tried lemon and water, and it has worked. Put it in a spray water bottle. Lemond, water, and conditionor or you can try sunin ... it works ...Does adding lemon juice to shampoo make hair lighter??
Lemon juice won't give too much of an effect but it can help a little to lighten. When using the lemon juice put it in a spray bottle but dilute it with water otherwise you may end up hurting your hair. If you want more dramatic results then i recommend using a peroxide spray. It gives better results.
I don't know about lighter, but I used to put lemon juice in my hair while outside and I got a reddish tint to my hair and Im a blonde. If you mix half peroxide and half water in a spray bottle and mist your hair it lightens it up and it doesn't dry it out. Hope this helps.
it may lighten your hair a tad bit, but on the down side it will damage your hair...since lemon juice is acidic it may also irritate/slightly burn your scalp. if you use too much lemon juice, it will eventually do the same amount of damage as bleaching or coloring it.

btw, if you have dark brown hair, it will make your hair an orangish color instead of a light brown color. the best thing to do, is not to put lemon juice in your hair, but if you really want to, then take a few strands of your hair and soak it in lemon juice and leave it out in the sun--and see what color it turns, if you like it then do it...

and, use lemon juice by itself, not with shampoo.
i heard that if u just put lemon juice in a spray bottle and lightly spray it on your hair it will make it lighter a little.
no-wet ur hair then squeeze the juice in ur hair and let it dry in the sun
lemon juice alone (in shampoo) will not lighten your hair...but it will make it somewhat healthier (but dont put too much)
good question!! *STAR*
It does if you are going to sit out in the sun, but not enough to justify that level of acidity in your hair. Lemon juice is very acidic and can make your hair feel so dry that the amount of conditioner you will use to make it feel better will cancel out any lightening effects. If you want to go lighter, ask your stylist to give you some very fine, natural looking highlights.
only adding lemon juice to hair and sitting in the sun will lighten hair. If u add peroxide to your shampoo it will make it lighter however i dont recommend that
it actually damages ur hair bcause it contains acid. it is acidic. it will hurt your hair and you will end up gettinf split ends and dry hair.
If you are blond, try mixing lemon juice with vinagar and rinse after a few mins, or try the recipe of yours! But have fun!!
i'm guessing you don't want to go to a hair salon. i've tried the lemon thing too and it didn't really work for me. the only thing that really made my blonde hair super shiny silky blonde was john frieda's collection of shampoos for blonde's. it only took a few weeks and people actually told me my hair looked blonder and more beachy.
well no you put lemon juice in you hair and go to the beach but if you wantyour hair darker i usually put poop in it.
im pretty sure lemon jusice is only supose to be used in the sun.. not added to shampoos... i tryed lemon juice once but it did not work for me
